Trader Dave's is a fun filled and unique exotic tiki bar.

Trader Dave's is a people friendly venue, we ask all patrons to be respectful to each other, staff and the venue. We will not tolerate indecent behaviour from anyone, male or female. Those who do not abide by this will be asked to leave. Management reserves the right to refuse entry.

What is the dress code?
A:

We expect neat casual clothing at all times. On Friday & Saturday our dress code prohibits scruffy shorts, thongs, singlets, sportswear, hi-vis and shabby clothing. Footwear must be worn at all times throughout the week.

Do you have an entry fee?

Entry is free except when for certain events when a door charge may be applicable.

Can I book for a large group?
A:

We prefer small groups of guests and attempt to cultivate and maintain the relaxed and welcoming atmosphere we have been known to provide. It is for these reasons we do not book for the following: Hens or Bucks nights, pub crawls or party buses.

Can I make a booking?
A:

You do not need to book but bookings are recommended for large groups, To enquire about bookings email our bookings manager with some information about your party. It is recommended you book as early as possible to avoid disappointment. The latest bookings are at 8pm. Private functions are available and conditions apply.

You are able to find out what’s happening by visiting our Diary, liking us on Facebook for updates, subscribing to our newsletter from this website, or email our bookings manager.

Can I bring my children?
A:

Trader Dave's is an adult environment and is not suitable for children, but a quick email in the case of outstanding circumstances is appreciated.

Is there a smoking area?
A:

We do not have a smoking area but smokers are free to smoke outside, ashtrays are provided. You will not lose your place in the bar if there is a line while having a cigarette. Due to liquor licencing laws Alcohol cannot be taken off the premises.

Can I get my cocktail in a Tiki-mug?
A:

Of course you can! We require a driver’s licence or other valid form of ID as a deposit, which is returned once we have the mug back. In the event of stolen or broken mugs you will be required to pay for the cost of the mug.

Q:
We arrived at 12:35 on a Saturday night and were refused entry, why?
A:

We are open til 1am on Fri and Sat night. Unfortunately due to liquor licencing laws we cannot allow anyone to enter the premises after 12:30am.
